“I dislocated my patella playing soccer and needed to strengthen the muscles around the knee to improve my stability and prevent another dislocation. My biggest concern was doing something that would cause my patella to dislocate again. Having heard a little about CrossFit, I reached out to Rachel and Mike at Rogue River CrossFit. I explained my history and my concerns and Mike offered to meet with me one-on-one to discuss my situation. During our meeting, I learned about his background in physical therapy, and I soon felt very confident about trying CrossFit.

During the Foundations program, Mike focused heavily on technique, all the while giving me specific advice on how to exercise given my recent injury. I’ve been working out at Rogue River CrossFit for four months and I feel great both physically and mentally. I’ve lost weight and gained muscle. Coach Mike and Coach Freddie provide encouragement and direction during each work out. The camaraderie with others at Rogue River CrossFit builds an environment where everyone is pushing to be stronger, both mentally and physically. I am absolutely addicted to CrossFit.”
